Student Orientation Options:
*You must attend one of the Orientations!
- Option 1: September 11th 3-4 PM MST; MS Teams
- Option 2: September 14th 3-4 PM MST; MS Teams
- Option 3: September 15th 5:15-6:15 PM MST; MS Teams
Faculty & Student Picture Day: September 28th 4:30-5:30 PM MST: In-Person

All admitted First Year Scholars must attend an orientation session.
FYS Academy will begin the week of September 25th.
Details for orientation will be sent to your student email after you have been accepted.
In addition, First Year Scholars are expected to abide by the following:
- Documenting 4-6 hours per week beginning the week of September 25, 2023.
- Attend MURALS FYS Academy community meetings (twice a month)
- Implement a research/project plan (guided by a research faculty member)
- Demonstrate safe equipment practices where applicable
- Submit stipend effort weekly as required by student employment
- Present at MURALS24
- Present research results at an approved research venue (this may include travel to an appropriate conference which will require timely prior approval)
